Desktop: more power for the money
- Better performance per dirham: for the same budget, a tower gets a stronger graphics card.
- Upgradeable: change the graphics card, add memory or an SSD over the years.
- Better cooling: less heat and noise, a real plus during Marrakech summers.
- Longer lifespan and easier repairs.

Gaming laptop: play anywhere
- all-in-one: high refresh rate screen, keyboard and battery included;
- portable: ideal for students, or for one machine for work, study and play;
- space-saving if you have no dedicated desk.
Its limits: more heat and noise, short battery life while gaming, and very limited upgrades.
What really matters
- Graphics card: on a laptop, also check its power rating (TGP), as two laptops with the same GPU can perform very differently.
- 16 GB of RAM as a comfortable minimum.
- A 1 TB NVMe SSD, as many games exceed 100 GB.
- A 144 Hz or faster screen for smooth gameplay.
- Cooling: read reviews, an overheating laptop loses performance.
